Out of curiosity I looked up "expression" and found this entry from Maria Quevedo, Head of Operations for "Artis," an arts education organization located in London. Seems that "Artis" hosted a virtual creativity festival that invited guests to "express their views" about creative words that have special meaning via the Wordia site.
Percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie tackled "ambidexterous."
Poet George Chopping serves up a delicious dollop of words to define "poetry."
Artist Do Ho Suh uses materials to define "sculpture."
Gary Slapper, Professor of Law at the Open University makes the case that "education," like food and drink is ideally something enjoyed throughout life.
Joe Winston, Associate Professor of Drama & Theatre Education at Warwick University asks educators to consider the importance of "beauty," and the twin values of love and excellence at the heart of "beauty." Winston holds that "Beauty is the missing element in schools."
Wordia offers a free school account for teachers. Hmmm, I wonder what words the kids might like to try define for themselves?
